Audrey Fromson
Instructor
Audrey is a writer and comedian and is ecstatic to work with young writers at Writopia Lab. Originally from West Hartford, Connecticut, Audrey studied Creative Writing and Spanish at the University of Chicago. She has reported long-form features on the effects of the climate crisis in the Peruvian Andes and what healthcare access looks like for LGBTQIA+ undocumented New Yorkers as well as interviewed musicians, comedians, and actors for publications including Teen Vogue, Vanity Fair, and Them. She has been writing essays since she launched a blog as a teen in the early 2010s (the URL is kept under lock and key). She has directed documentaries and in college created a podcast with fellow comedians where they platonically answered the 36 Questions to Fall in Love. Before joining Writopia, Audrey was a fact checker. She still thinks facts are important, and that's on the record.
