To recognize their outstanding work, recipients of this year’s Gold Key, Silver Key, and Honorable Mention Awards are invited, along with their guests, teachers, and our esteemed jurors, to the DC Metro Region Scholastic Art & Writing Awards Ceremony. This year's keynote speaker will be author (and Writopia Lab instructor!) Jessica McHugh.

A panel of professional novelists, editors, teachers, poets, librarians, journalists, and other literary professionals selected these works from the 1,500 works submitted this year.
The judges were challenged in selecting from a pool of more than 1,500 amazing works. As such, not every great work received a nomination. If you did not receive recognition this year, don’t be discouraged. Our judges were inspired by each and every submission and look forward to everyreading your work next year!
