Genevieve Scott
Assistant Instructor
Genevieve Scott is overjoyed to be part of the Writopia Lab team as an assistant creative writing instructor. A Brooklyn native, she is also a writer, visual artist, and actress who has been exercising her creative muscles since she was a little girl in her grandmother’s in-house school. She deeply values the influence of art within an educational landscape and graduated from Columbia University with a B.A. in creative writing and visual arts. Her series of sculptures made from hair has been featured in the NYC Culture Club at the World Trade Center. She is also currently working on a novel, a work of autofiction inspired by her coming-of-age in New York City. Genevieve looks forward to inspiring, but even more
importantly, being inspired by the young creators at Writopia.
