We're in session all year round—school year, summer and holiday breaks!
For breaks during the school year, Writopia Lab offers Half-Day Workshops, Full-Day Camps, and Teen Writers' Retreat.
Availability of programs offered on school breaks will be contingent on the region your Lab is located. We try our best to accomodate both private school and public school schedules. If ever you do not see a program at a time you are interested, we welcome you to inquire with our regional managers to see what we can arrange.

Writopia Hudson Valley currently holds workshops in the Rhinebeck/Red Hook/Tivoli region in Dutchess County and in the Marbletown region of Ulster County. Whether you live in the area and want to enroll your child or teen in an on-going weekly workshop, or are visiting for the weekend and want your child or teen to explore their creative writing potential for an afternoon, Writopia workshops are perfect for both precocious writers who want to hone their skills and reluctant writers who find a love for writing through our fun games and prompts. We also offer in-school and after school workshops for schools in the area.

At the beginning of a workshop, each student chooses to write in the genre of his or her choice for the week (i.e. humor, realistic fiction, science fiction, fantasy, memoir, poetry, scripts, or journalism). Teens usually focus on completing one piece over the week; our younger writers sometimes write several stories. Our Manhattan fall, winter, and spring workshops meet weekly for 10 1.5 hour after school or weekend sessions. Summer writing workshops and holiday intensives meet five days in a row for three-hour sessions. Enrollment is ongoing. See the Price Menu, and Register in order to sign up for workshops! Or arrange to have us lead a 10-week in-school creative writing seminar at your school..
Please contact us at Rebecca@WritopiaLab.org or call (212) 222-4088.
